Terms of Use
What Karegar is
Karegar is an introduction service. It shows people who need work done to people who do that work, and gives them a way to agree it. We are not a party to the job. We do not employ workers, we do not contract for clients, and the agreement is between the two of you.
What Karegar is not
- We do not handle payment. There is no wallet, no escrow and no fee taken from the work. You agree the rate between yourselves and settle it between yourselves.
- We do not guarantee the work. We do not supervise it, inspect it or insure it.
- We do not vet skill. Identity verification confirms that a CNIC was presented. It says nothing about whether someone is good at their trade.
- We do not promise you work, or a worker.
Your account
- You need a working phone number and you must be 18 or older.
- One account per person. The same account can both look for work and hire for it.
- Keep your password to yourself. What happens on your account is your responsibility.
- Give real information. A false name, a false trade or someone else's CNIC is grounds for removal.
How to behave
Do not use Karegar to:
- post work that is illegal, or that you have no intention of paying for;
- harass, threaten or abuse anyone, in chat or anywhere else;
- pretend to be someone else, or post on someone else's behalf without telling them;
- collect other people's details for anything other than the job at hand;
- post content that is not yours to post.
We can suspend or remove an account that does these things. Where we can, we will tell you why.
Content you post
Your jobs, photos, voice notes, messages and reviews stay yours. You give us permission to store them and show them to the people they are meant for, which is what makes the app work. A review should be your honest experience of a job that actually happened.
Disputes between users
If a job goes wrong, it is between you and the other person. We will help where we reasonably can — a record of what was agreed in chat is often enough to settle it — but we do not arbitrate, and we do not hold money that could be refunded, because we never held any.
Availability
Karegar is offered as it is. We try to keep it running and correct, but we do not promise it will always be available or always be right. We may change features, and we may stop offering the service.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, UrsaCode is not liable for loss arising out of work arranged through Karegar, including work done badly, not done, or paid for and not delivered. Our role ended at the introduction. Nothing here removes rights you have under Pakistani law that cannot be removed.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We can close an account that breaks these terms. Either way, the parts of this document that are meant to survive — liability, and the fact that we were not party to your agreements — survive.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts of Peshawar have jurisdiction.
